Electric vehicles have a simpler structure than internal combustion engine vehicles, with fewer operating and transmission parts, resulting in less maintenance. When using an AC induction motor, the motor requires no maintenance, and more importantly, electric vehicles are easier to operate.
However, electric vehicles are not yet as technologically advanced as internal combustion engine vehicles, especially in terms of the shorter lifespan of the power source (battery) and higher operating costs. The battery's energy storage capacity is small, resulting in less than ideal driving range on a single charge, and electric vehicles are relatively expensive. However, from a developmental perspective, with technological advancements and corresponding investment of human and material resources, the problems with electric vehicles will gradually be solved. By leveraging their advantages and mitigating their disadvantages, electric vehicles will gradually become more widespread, and their price and operating costs will inevitably decrease.
