Standards for pure electric passenger vehicles

The standard clarifies that micro-low-speed pure electric passenger vehicles refer to pure electric passenger vehicles with four or fewer seats and a maximum speed of less than 70 km/h. The length, width, and height of these vehicles must not exceed 3500 mm, 1500 mm, or 1700 mm, and their curb weight must not exceed 750 kg. Regarding speed, the maximum speed over 30 minutes must be greater than or equal to 40 km/h and less than 70 km/h. The standard adds technical requirements for the external dimensions, curb weight, and speed limits of micro-low-speed pure electric passenger vehicles. The draft for comments also clarifies basic technical requirements for tire standards, speed limiting devices, braking performance, stability performance, and collision safety.

The application of pure electric passenger vehicles is currently in the experimental stage, but such vehicles were used at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. These vehicles utilize fuel cells and are quickly recharged upon arrival at stations to achieve continuous driving.
